Atmospheric conditions from valley to peak
Praděd is the highest mountain in Moravia and Silesia, standing at 1,491 m in the Jeseníky mountains of northeastern Czechia. It is a broad, prominent summit above forests and rolling ridges, with wide views that make it a rewarding goal for a day hike. The best time to go is from late spring to early autumn, when trails are usually snow-free and the weather is more settled; in winter, expect ice, deep snow, and tougher conditions.
Summit temperature from 43° to 51°, but feels colder because of the wind. Mostly clear with some overcast periods.
