Sevkatar

Atmospheric conditions from valley to peak

Sevkatar is a 3154-metre peak in central-eastern Armenia, east of Lake Sevan in the Gegham Mountains. The mountain sits in an open volcanic landscape with broad ridges and alpine meadows, so the hike feels spacious and rewarding, with wide views over the Armenian Highlands. The best time to hike Sevkatar is from late June through September, when most of the snow has melted from the higher slopes and the weather is usually more stable.
