Babia Góra

Atmospheric conditions from valley to peak

Babia Góra is a striking peak in southern Poland, right by the Slovak border, and its highest point, Diablak, reaches 1,725 m. Hikers come here for wide-open views, exposed ridges, and a mountain feel that is more dramatic than many peaks in the Beskids. The best time to go is from late spring to early autumn, when the upper slopes are usually free of snow and the trails are more reliable; in summer, it is wise to start early because storms can build quickly and the paths get busier.
